Hey you!!! I'M DEANNE....

……….born in 1972 and raised in Chicago, IL.  However, since 2003, I've been living in Switzerland.  Fashion has always been "a thing" of mine ever since I can remember.  I had my first Louis Vuitton at 12 years old, thanks to my extremely fashionable godmother whom I called Mumsy.  My bedroom walls, as a teenager, were splattered with the likes of Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, you know.. the original supermodels.  I can remember my mother being frustrated with me because I had to always be dressed to the nines to even go to the grocery store..(still do...lol!)  My style can be very edgy at times.  I love taking risks, and I don't care if I stand out. 

I chose the name Soliloquy & Swag because soliloquies are found in Shakespeare’s plays, which I thoroughly enjoy, not to mention I love how the actual word just rolls off of the tongue. Also, most of my blogs will contain a quote from one of his plays that I try to tie into my blog post. Swag is simply for my particular style of dress and attitude, which is uniquely my own.

All in all, this blog is for me to showcase what I love to wear, some bits and pieces of travelling, thrown in with a bit of what I love to read mixed with my thoughts on various subjects. …..and if you get a bit of inspiration along the way, that's a bonus.  I truly believe women can look stylish and be great no matter what age they are.
